The Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 is given to photographer Timo Kelaranta. The award is given by Finnish Art Society for older artists in recognition of significant life’s work .

DUCAT PRIZE

DUCAT PRIZE 2015 was given to the visual artist Tuomo Rainio. The Ducat Prize is founded in 1858 and it is the oldest art award in Finland. It is presented by the Art Society annually to a young Finnish artist under 35 in recognition of special merit.

The State Prize for Photographic Art to Sanna Kannisto

The State Prize for Photographic Art was awarded to Sanna Kannisto for her artistic work which combines nature photography, key issues of photographic art and science-based ways of displaying nature. The Prize was given by the National Council for Visual Arts in Finland.

Young Artists 2015

Tuomo Rainio is part of the selected young artists who's new works are presented in a show the Young Artists 2015 at Kunsthalle, Helsinki. The traditional exhibition is organized by the Artists’ Association of Finland since 1939.
