As part of Berlin Art Week 2026, Persons Projects is proud to present Rhizome, a solo exhibition by Paweł Książek, bringing together the black-and-white drawings of the Narrations series and a selection of his new paintings. The exhibition unfolds as a collection of ideas, images, and associations rather than a single, linear story. Within the works, visual form and language enter into dialogue, creating a space where the visual and the written coexist in tension and resonance. Książek’s mastery of both drawing and painting is evident throughout the exhibition, with his precise control of line, tone, and light giving the works a remarkable intensity and presence.

Persons Projects is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition Bamboo Whispers in Fading Light, a solo exhibition by Finnish artist Sandra Kantanen, one of the leading figures of the Helsinki School. The exhibition brings together works that reflect Kantanen’s long-standing fascination with idealized Asian landscapes. The show continues her search for environments threatened or already damaged by human activity, which she then reinterprets through her artistic intervention.

Persons Projects is pleased to announce the opening of its upcoming exhibition Geometry of Light, featuring Karl Benjamin and Grey Crawford, presented as part of this year’s Gallery Weekend in the new sector Perspectives.

Geometry of Light explores, for the first time, the direct influence of Karl Benjamin’s hard-edge painting on the early conceptual photography of Grey Crawford. Though working in different media, both artists were rooted in Southern California and shared a common visual language—one grounded in the precise use of geometry, structure, and abstraction.

Persons Projects is proud to present a solo exhibition of new works by Finnish artist Riitta Päiväläinen from the Helsinki School. The series, titled Phantasma, was created in the dramatic, isolated landscapes of Iceland and Lapland. Phantasma evokes the fleeting, ghostly presence of her textile installations, capturing ephemeral moments where memory, imagination, and nature converge.

Since 1997, Päiväläinen has photographed and produced site-specific fabric installations within natural environments. She has developed a singular visual language, creating delicate, temporary interventions in remote, pristine places seemingly untouched by human activity. She selects her locations with care, choosing forests, valleys, or riverbanks as the stage for her work. Using second-hand clothing and found fabrics, she constructs temporary organic sculptures that engage with the landscape, forming fragile shelters and intimate spaces that evoke childhood memories and invite reflection on our relationship with nature.
